A burnisher and plugger is used for contouring and
polishing composite and amalgam fillings.
They are restorative instruments.
They are also used for applying pressure and achieving well
 condensed filling by squeezing the filling material into cavity.
 It is ball-ended and the extremely smooth tip allows for modelling
and non-stick application of composite without discoloration
of restoration.
